James Mattingly Holleman serves as Managing Director, Capital Markets at GTIS Partners, a global real estate investment firm. He leads fundraising and investor engagement across the firm’s equity and credit strategies, cultivating partnerships with wealth management platforms, family offices, and institutional allocators. Prior to GTIS, James was Managing Director at Grubb Properties, where he directed capital formation and investor relations across housing and Opportunity Zone strategies, expanding the firm’s private wealth platform nationwide.

A U.S. Army veteran, James served in the 82nd Airborne Division and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His experience as a paratrooper taught him the values of courage, discipline, and servant leadership — principles that continue to guide his professional and personal life.

James is the founder of US 4 Them, a Charlotte-based nonprofit that assists refugees and displaced families in the Carolinas through housing and resettlement support. He also serves with Service to School, mentoring veterans transitioning into higher education and professional careers. Rooted in faith and family, James remains deeply committed to service and helping others rebuild their lives with strength and purpose.

James began his academic career while deployed in Afghanistan through Central Texas College, completed his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Gardner-Webb University in 2013, and earned his MBA from Wake Forest University in 2019. His academic background complements his real-world experiences, bridging theory to practice, building innovative capital market strategies and leading high-performacne teams.

James lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife Sarah and their two children, Hailey and James Jr. (JJ). Family an faith are the cornerstones in his life, where he believes leadership begins at home and church. Together, the Hollemans are leaders in their local church and community, where Sarah is a Youth Director and James regularly serves as a guest Pastor. The Holleman's are dedicated as a family to living out their values of compassion, humility, and service to God and Country.
