What is
To & Through?
To and Through is an extension of Service to School's (S2S) commitment to supporting veterans in higher education. This program connects undergraduate student veterans with current student veterans, establishing a network of peers and on-the-ground resources to help student veterans navigate college life.
This initiative helps veterans navigate academic, social, and professional life on campus with dedicated guidance, community, and resources.
How the Program Works
The To and Through program is rooted in the camaraderie veterans experience during their military service—and channels that shared bond into a supportive community that promotes academic, personal, and professional success. It helps ease the often complex transition from military to college life by offering consistent, on-the-ground support.
Each campus-based program is supported by a dedicated Campus Ambassador, a current student veteran who works closely with Service to School (S2S) staff and VetLink partner colleges. Together, we connect student veterans with key resources, including help with VA benefits, housing, academic tutoring, and more.
Campus Ambassadors also advocate for veterans on their campuses, organize professional development opportunities, and promote career-focused webinars throughout the academic year.
From the first day on campus to graduation day, To and Through ensures student veterans are seen, supported, and set up for long-term success.
