Empowering Veterans. Building Futures. Together.

Who We Are

Service to School (S2S) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides free college and grad school application counseling to military veterans and servicemembers.

Our “Why”

At Service to School, we serve U.S. military veterans, active-duty service members, and transitioning service members who are pursuing higher education. Our applicants come from all branches of service and bring with them deep leadership experience, discipline, and a drive to make an impact beyond the uniform.

But too often, military-connected applicants face systemic barriers when applying to college, from gaps in traditional academic preparation and unfamiliarity with the admissions process to a lack of representation on campus. Many are first-generation college students, and most navigate this journey without access to the same advising or support systems that benefit traditional applicants.

We believe that shouldn’t be the case.

Veterans have already proven their potential in some of the most challenging environments in the world. With the right guidance and support, they thrive in the classroom, enrich college campuses with life experience and perspective, and go on to lead in every sector of society.

By serving this community, Service to School is not just opening doors to individual opportunity — we’re helping to build a stronger, more diverse, and more inclusive future for higher education and beyond.

Our support doesn't end at acceptance — we stay connected through alumni, events, and lifelong mentorship.

Our Guiding Principles

We support veterans and do not profit from them.

Our services are free. They always have been. They always will be. Service to School is here to ensure that our fellow veterans have quality support that will enable them to access the finest schools in the world and that money is never a barrier to success.

We want our applicants to choose a program that is right for them.

People succeed when they study material that interests them in an environment where they feel comfortable and supported. We want our applicants to go to a program that will set them up for success, whatever it may be.

We are always a positive voice.

A small fraction of the American population has ever served. We must support each other. Service to School works to build up members of the veteran community and never breaks them down.
