Student veterans interested in careers in psychology, counseling, social work, and related helping professions are invited to join this virtual fireside chat with professionals and graduate students currently working in the field.
This session is designed to give you direct access to people who have taken different paths into mental health and human services. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about choosing a major, applying to graduate school, licensure pathways, balancing school with work, and what day-to-day life actually looks like in these careers.
Our panel brings experience across clinical practice, organizational psychology, counseling, social work, research, and training and development, including work in healthcare, government, higher education, and the private sector. Several speakers are veterans or have extensive experience working with military-connected populations, and all are prepared to speak candidly about challenges, telling your story in applications, and building a career that aligns with your values and goals.
Whether you are early in your academic journey or actively planning for graduate school, this conversation will help you understand your options and next steps.
