Sydney Matthes is a seasoned higher education and nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience in college admissions, student advising, and non-profit program management.

A sought-after expert in college access and counseling, Sydney also teaches two courses in the UCLA Extension College Counseling Certificate Program, where she trains educators and counselors to support diverse student populations, to include the student veteran population. Her background includes roles in public K-12 schools, college consulting, and undergraduate admissions at George Washington University.

Sydney has been recognized as the 2024 Veteran Champion of the Year in Higher Education and was named the January 2025 Member of the Month by the National College Attainment Network.

With a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University, Sydney brings unmatched expertise and a mission-driven mindset to everything she does—advancing equity, empowering students, and building stronger pathways to post-secondary success.
