Fun Fact About Yourself? All my younger siblings have joined the Navy after me as an ENM1, IT2, and HT3.

What did you do in the military? Hospital Corpsman/ Behavioral Health Technician/ Field Medical Service Technician

Why did you decide to volunteer with Service to School? I didn't have much support navigating the journey to becoming a PA. I hope to make it easier for others who are on a similar journey.

How has your experience as an Ambassador been? I've enjoyed being able to connect with service members who had different military experiences than mine but ended up with the same goal.

Winston’s advice to veterans considering pursuing higher education?

Write down the goals you have for when you complete your education. Take time to ensure your actions continue to align with those goals. If realize they aren't, it's okay to make course corrections toward your desired purpose.

Winston’s Veteran applicant shared some inspiring words on the impacts of his mentorship: "Service to School provided me with an excellent mentor who guided me through the rigorous application process. We conducted mock interviews together, and he played a crucial role in enhancing my personal statement to effectively highlight my military service. Being mentored by another veteran was one of the most valuable experiences I gained from S2S. My mentor not only understood my path to medicine but also shared my commitment in aiding underserved communities. Drawing on our shared experiences, his expertise significantly enriched my application and provided guidance on which aspects to emphasize during the interview process." - Karyna Bravo, Stanford School Of Medicine 2026
